Clemons, and seconded by Mr. Robinett, to adopt <br />th~o~iow~ng resolution, and was adopted by the following <br />vote: <br /> <br /> "ARESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE~ITYMANAGER TO CONVEY <br />PARCEL 61 F, OR A PORTION THEREOF, TO PORTSMOUTH REDEVELOPMENT <br />AND HOUSING AUTHORITY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority <br />is now the owner of the site known as the King's Crossing <br />project; and , <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority is <br />attempting to sell the King's Crossing project to interested <br />parties; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, intereSted Parties have expressed an interest in <br />the King's Crossing site and property belonging to the City of <br />Portsmouth known as Parcel 61 F. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br /> of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he is <br /> hereby authorized to convey unto Portsmouth Redevelopment and <br /> Housing Authority that parcel of property known as Parcel 61 F <br /> as shown on the plat entitled"Plat Showing Survey of <br /> Development Parcels 61 A-M, Crawford Renewal Project VA.R-53 <br /> Portsmouth, Virginia", dated August 13, 1985, revised May 27, <br /> 1986, which~said plat is duly recorded in the Clerk's Office of <br /> the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, in Map Book 13 at <br /> page 225; or ~such portion of Parcel 61 F as may be necessary <br /> and appropriate to the completion and development of the King's <br /> Crossing site, under such terms and such conditions as the City <br /> Manager shall deem appropriate and in the best interest of the <br />,City of Portsmouth." <br /> <br />Ayes: Clemons, Griffin, Robinett, Webb <br />Nays: Hawks, Martin,~Pitts <br /> <br />95-153 - Letter from the City Manager reconunending adoption of <br />a resolution appointing viewers for the closing of portions of <br />Queen Street, Lockport Street (formerly London Street), <br />Williamsburg Avenue (formerly secondAvenue),London Street, <br />Yorktown Avenue (formerly Fourth Avenue or Grace Street), all <br />alleys located north of High Street and shown on the plat <br />recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, West Lane, and a fifteen foot lane within <br />the boundaries of the area for construction of the new <br />I. C.
