Lawrence Stadium to Old DOminion Demolition, and a motion requesting permission to exceed the 25% limit~on change orders. a. A motion to award a demolition contract for the Frank D. Lawrence Stadium to Old Dominion Demolition. In addition tc the stadium demolition, this contract includes demolition of a portion of the abutting streets and sidewalks. No additional appropriation is required to complete this work, b. A motion to exceed the 25% limit on change orders for the demolition of Frank D. Lawrence Stadium. c. Ordinance to amend Chapter 25 of the City Code by amending Sections 25-93 and 25-148 and by repealing Sections i 25-92, 25-110 and 25-176 through 25-181 pertaining to Parks and Recreation. The stadium is Scheduled for demolition around April 1, 1995. In addition, the Sleepy Hole facility lease begins on April 1, 1995. It is recommended that all code references to fees and policies for the facility be repealed. "On January 10, 1995 funds were appropriated for the demolition of the Frank D. Lawrence Stadium. Bids were received for this work on March 14, 1995 and were very competitive and favorable with today's construction market (see AttacAment No. 1).
