<br /> 3rd. Cell Work. On account of some conflict T~the specifications, the N~nager, at our
<br /> suggestion, rejected mll bids on cell work and re-mdvertised for bids, amd smid bids will be
<br /> opened on November 10th and we will m~ke o~r repor~ on same mfter thmt dmte.

<br /> It is further recommended that the work on the building be begun as soon ms practicable,
<br /> so thmt 'the foundations may be lmid before freezing weather."

<br /> be authorize~ to ha~e prepared bond ordinance for the issue of $~50,000.00 Jail Bonds,"

<br /> At this point, the privilege of the floor was granted ~o m Committee from the Kings'
<br />Daughters. ~ Drs. Hope and Collins and Mr. J, Davis Reed ~poke, urging that the City make an
<br />increase i~ the appropriation for said Hospital for the x~ar 19~2.
<br /> Mr. Brooks moved that the request be referred to the Finmnce Committee to be considered
<br />for the Budge~ of 1922. The motion was adopted.

<br /> On motion, the privilege of the floor was granted to citizens from the Sixth ~nd Ninth
<br />Wards, and MBssrs. W. P. Ricks mhd G. H. PettiJohn spoke asking for the estmblishment of the
<br />following additional jitney route: From the Ferry West along High street to Effingham street;
<br />thence south on Effingham to South street; thence to Prentis avenue; to Duke street; to Elm
<br />avenue; %o South street; %o Deep Creek Boulevard, mnd thence to City limits beyond Truxton;
<br />returning by the same route.
<br /> And a petition wms remd ~ signed by J. E. Benton mnd sundry others, requesting the es-
<br />tablishment of such rouze.
<br /> On motion of Mr. Esleeck, the mdvisability of establishing such additional jitney route
<br />was referred to the City Manager for investigation and report, with recommendation, at the
<br />next regular meeti~nE of the Council.

<br /> The privilege of the fl~or was granted to the citizens who have charge of the parade
<br />on Armistice Dmy. Messrs. Abe Resh '~ud Nilson asked the Council to make an approprimtion
<br />of $200. to be used to decorate the streets mnd public building on the line of March Armistice
<br />Dmy.
<br /> Mr./Brooks moved that the Manager be authorized to mmke such decorations, smd that
<br />an app~Rp~i~w~tion of $200.00 for same be~referred to the Finance Committee.

<br />speak concerning the orcLinanoe. Messrs. H. B. Wilkins and E. L. Price spoke in opposition
<br />to paasmge of such an ordinance.
<br />
<br /> Mr.'Es!eeek moved thmt action on the ordinance be deferred until the next meeting of
<br />Council, and that the Clerk notify the various wood ~ealers of such deferement.
