Dr. James Griffin, 1425 Home Avenue, spoke on concerns for <br />P.I.T. press. <br /> <br />- UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />95-142 - Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of <br />an ordinance to appropriate $86,725 in Public Utilities Capital <br />Improvements Fund for the replacement by purchase of heavy <br />construction equipment used to maintain the City's water and <br />sewer systems. Deferred from the Regular Meeting on March 28, <br />1995. <br /> <br /> "With Council's approval of the Capital Improvement Budget <br />for 1994=1999, the Director of Public Utilities is requesting <br />your appropriation of $86,725 in Utility Capital Funds to <br />purchase heavy constructionequipment. This is routine <br />replacement of equipment used to maintain the City's water and <br />sewer system and is listed as Project %957 in the current <br />year's CIP. <br /> <br /> The largest piece of equipment in this project is the <br />replacement of a 1978 Ford backhoe at an estimated cost of <br />$59,500. A listing of the other equipment is attached. All of <br />the equipment will be competitively bid by the City's <br />Purchasing Department. <br /> <br /> <br />
