This reduces delays
in obtaining redundant permits for the same load. It provides
more equitable fees for contracting companies based in
Portsmouth who have the need to travel to and from various and
different work sites several times per week. Also, it was
determined that the $10.00 fee Portsmouth presently charges for
single trip moves has not increased in more than fifteen (15)
years, and is not in line with the fee other cities in this area
charge.
