Ma~ 8, 1995 <br /> <br />(c) Z,95-05 <br /> <br />OLDE TOWNE NEIGHBORHOOD - Rezoning application by <br />the City PIanning Commission for property <br />generally bounded by Court Street, Queen Street, <br />Washington Street and London Boulevard from <br />Historic Limited Office to Historic Limited <br />Business 1. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Griffin, to refer <br />Z-95-05 back to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br /> Substitute motion by Mr. Clemons, to concur with the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission that Z-95-05 be <br />approved, died due to a lack of a second. <br /> <br /> The original motion to refer Z-95-05 back to the Planning <br />Commission was adopted by a vote of 4-2-1 (Clemons, Robinett) <br />(Hawks - abstained because of s conflict of interest). <br /> <br />(d) Z-95-07 <br /> <br />NORTHSIDE NEIGHBORHOOD Rezon~ng application by <br />the Portsmouth Elks Lodge for property at 300 <br />Williamsburg Avenue from Office Residential 0R-75 <br />to Commercial C-2-K Conditional. <br /> <br />Charles Sullivan, 5119 Bennett's Pasture Road, Suffolk, provided <br />information on the proposed rezoning. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Hawks, and seconded by Mr. Martin, to defer <br />consideration of Z-95~07 until the Regular Meeting of May 23, <br />1995, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />(e) UP-95-01 <br /> <br />HIGHLANDS NEIGHBORHOOD - Request of Hasan <br />Peynircioglu for a use permit to operate a flea <br />market at 3126 Victory Boulevard. <br /> <br />Selim Peynirc~oglu, 328 Kings Grant Road, spoke in support of <br />the proposed use permit. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, to <br />concur with the recommendation of the Planning Commission that <br />UP-95-01 be approved, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />(f) HP-95-09 <br /> <br />DOWNTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD - Request of Jakel!rnn E. <br />Murphy to operate a school at 435 Washington <br />Street. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Clemons, to <br />accept the withdrawal of the use permit application, and was <br />adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />(g) CP-95-03 <br /> <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT - CHURCHLAND <br />NEIGHBORHOOD - An amendment to the Land Use Plan <br />of the City of Portsmouth recommending Parks and <br />Open Space at 4510 Twin Pines Road (Borrow Pit <br />site). <br /> <br /> <br />
