<br /> Recommendation of the M~nager tha~ $12,500. be transferred from the ~th Ward and $1E,500.
<br />from the 9th Ward, to St. Improvement Fund, to pay the cost of the concrete pavement on High
<br />St. west of the Belt Line.

<br />Referred September 25th
<br />
<br /> Reoommendmtion of the Manager that $37~500. be borrowed on account of the Eighth Ward for
<br />the construction of a hard surface north and south-road which will.be used during the construc-
<br />tion period of work in said Ward. (Signed) L.G. White, Chairman.

<br /> N~. Brooks moved that these items be taken up for consideration. The motion was adopted.
<br />
<br />Then Mr. Smith moved that action be deferred on item $1 until the City Manager retu~ns.

<br /> Nm. White moved that the privilege of the floor be extended to any one i~terested in
<br />this matter. The motion was adopted, and Mr. Chae. F. Harper, President of the Eighth Wa~d
<br />Civic League, sp~ke asking Council to postpone action on same until the Manager returns.

<br />Nm. ~mith's motion was adopted, mud by the following vote:

<br />Nm. Brooks moved that action be deferred on item ~ until the City Manager returns.
