<br />in error for personal property for the Year 1923; and that H~rry E. Brington be refunded $~.~
<br />~id in error for personal property for the Year 1923, he h~ving paid in both Monroe and
<br />Washington Wards; was referred to the Finance Oommittee.

<br /> A request of the Commissioner of the Revenue that the P&rker Hosiery Mill and Dy~ Works
<br />be relieved from the payment of $1023.01 for taxes charged in error for the Year 1~23, was
<br />referred to the Finance Committee.
<br />
<br /> A com~uioation was re~d from the 0ommittee on Bldgs. & Equipment of the School Board
<br />stating that bids h~ve been received on the Sixth Avenue School Building and contract awarded
<br />to the lowest bidder, subject to appropriatio~ by 0ouncil; that a schedule o~ bids indicates
<br />that they shall probably be able to keep withmn the pre~imio~ry estimate of.$122,500.00, but
<br />asks ~r a m~xim~m appropriation of $125,000.O0 to provmde fo~ any emergencies.
<br /> On motion, the oommunication w~s referred to the Finance 0ommulttee.

<br /> A request was read from the School Board for ~u~opropriation of $t2,000.O0 or as m~ch
<br />thereof as m~y be necessary for the purchase of a site for the sixteen-room school building
<br />in Lee Ward; and said request was referred to the Finance Committee.
