Flowers." <br /> <br />On motion, the communications were ordered to be filed. <br /> <br /> ?th. ~0n June 3rd the West Park View bridge was damage~ By a fire, the origin of which <br />seems probably to have been due to the throwing of a lighted match or cigarette into the ~aw- <br />dust surroundi~ the water main crossimg ~he bridge. The enti~e structure is. in such shape tha~ <br />it doesnot seem to ~ustify repairs. ! am therefore r~commendi_ng that it be closed to traffic <br />except for foot passengers, and that the street sweepings fromP~.ark View a~West ~ark View <br />be dumped from the old Bridge until the approaches are filledUP leaving only a narrow cha~el <br />to be bridged sometime in the ~uture. <br /> <br /> Xn order that au additioz~zl entrance ~o West Park View may be provided, X am further <br />recommending that First Ave. be paved with aueSgl~.teen foot bi~mminous m~cadamSaving from <br />~L~ckie St. to High St. at an estimated cost of $15,000.00." <br /> On motion, the recommendation was referred to Finance Oommlttee. <br /> Sth~ "l am forwarding herewith request from the D..~ender Grocery Co. to lease for two <br />yea~s at $25.00 per month the premises owned by the City at the northwestcorner cZ Washi~n~_~on <br />~d County Streets.
