<br /> The following ordinance, which was placed on its first reading by Council August 25th,
<br />was taken up smd read:
<br /> AN ORDINANOE REGULATING THE OONBTRUOTION AND INSTALLATION OF OIL-BURNING
<br />EQUIPMENT FOR DONESTIO USE, AND FOR THE STORAGE AND USE OF OIL EUEL USED T~EREWITH.

<br /> The ordinance having been read, Mm. Brooks mo~ed that wherever the words "Inspector" or
<br />"Chief Inspector" is used in the ordinance the following be added: "or some one designated
<br />by the City Msmmger.." The amendment was adopted.

<br /> Mr. Brooks moved that Section 5, paragraph O, be amendedtto read as follows: "Tanks shall
<br />Be buried u~de~e~--dwith top cf the tsmk not le~s tha~ 2 feet below the surface of the ground,
<br />audbelow the level of any piping to which the tank m~y~e, comuected, except that in lieu of
<br />the ~ feet cover, tanks may b? buried u~der 12 .inches of eamth amd a cover of re-inforced con-
<br />crete at least 6 inches in thick, ess provided, which shall extend at least one foot ~eyend :
