180 <br /> <br />June 27, 19~5 <br /> <br />DUNCAN STREET: That portionof Duncan Street east of the west <br />side of Hyman Street and lyihg between the west side of Hyman <br />Street and the eastern terminus of said Duncan Street as shown <br />on that certain plat of Hyman Ville, recorded in the Clerk's <br />Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, <br />Virginia, in Map Book 5, at page 63. <br /> <br />BAXTER STREET: That portion of Baxter Street east of the west <br />side of Hyman Street (unplatted), the centerline of said Hyman <br />Street (unplatted) is designated "C/L existing pavement (20'±)" <br />and shown on that certain plat entitled "Street Closure Plat <br />Hattonsville Project for Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing <br />Authority, Portsmouth, Virginia", dated April 10, 1995, revised <br />May 14, 1995, a copy of which may be examined with this street <br />closure application filed with the Planning Department of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, which portion of the street to be <br />closed is lying between the west side of said Hyman Street <br />(unplatted) and the north west side of Elmhurst Lane. <br /> <br />PRIVATE LANE: Ail interest of the public, if any, in and to <br />that certain street designated "Private Lane" as shown on that <br />certain plat entitled: "Street Closure Plat Hattonsville <br />Project for PortsmOuth Redevelopment and Housing Authority, <br />Portsmouth, Virginia", dated April 10, 1995, revised May 14, <br />1995, a copy of which may be examined with this street closure <br />application filed with the Planning Department of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, which street is located on the south side <br />of Ballard Avenue between Trotter Street and Hyman Street and <br />also shown on that certain plat entitled: "Plat of Land of <br />Fannie Langston, Jacob Williams & others near Olive Branch <br />Church, Norfolk County, Va", dated April 17, 1902, and recorded <br />in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of <br />Chesapeake, Virginia, in Deed Book 260, at page 87. <br /> <br />PRIVATE LANE: All interest of the public, if any, in and to <br />that certain street designated "Private Lane" as shown on that <br />certain plat entitled: "Street Closure Plat Hattonsville <br />Project for Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority, <br />Portsmouth, Virginia", dated April 10, 1995, revised May 14, <br />1995, a copy of which may be examined with this street closure <br />application filed with the Planning Department of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, which street is located on the east of <br />Hyman Street, said "Private Lane" being also designated as <br />"Private Lane" on that certain plat entitled: "Plat Showing <br />Property owned by Odessa & Hollis Copeland consisting of Part <br />of Lots 3, 4, 5, 19 & 20, Plat of Hyman Ville, Norfolk Co., <br />Va.", dated October 12, 1954, and recorded in the Clerk's <br />Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, <br />Virginia, in Map Book 38, at page 44." <br /> <br />Ayes: Griffin, Hawks, Martin, Pitts, Robinett <br />Nays: Clemons <br /> <br />95-312 Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption of a <br />resolution authorizing the City Manager to convey two parcels <br />of land which belong to the City, to the Portsmouth <br />Redevelopment and Housing Authority (PP~qA) for the Regional <br />Jail site. <br /> "Title examination by Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing <br />Authority (PRHA) for acquisition of properties located within <br />the Regional Jail Authority site, indicate that there are two <br />parcels of land which belong to the City of Portsmouth. <br />Acquisition by PRHA of these two properties is required in <br />order to complete the creation of this site. <br /> <br /> I, therefore~ recommend adoption of this resolution which <br />will give the City Manager authority to convey these two <br />properties to PRHAo" <br /> <br /> <br />
