The Notice <br /> ~lication and Request for Appointment of Viewers has been <br /> <br />I recommend the adoption of a resolution appointing viewers <br /> application." <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Hawks, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, to adopt <br /> g resolution, and was adopted by the following vote~ <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF A <br /> OF TROTTER STREET, HYMAN STREET, HYMANSTREET <br /> ), DUNCAN STREET, BAXTER STREET AND TWO PRIVATE LANES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority ha~ <br />application to vacate, close and discontinue the <br /> described streets and lanes, and it appearing that <br /> of Application and Request for an Appointment of Viewers <br /> advertised as required by law. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br /> Virginia, that Roy Leinart, Johnny H. Mason, Jr.~ <br /> Gibson, Robert McCurdy and Harrison Miller be appointed <br /> and that Cornelius Harding, Jr., and Robert Reed be <br /> alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding <br /> fails to participate, said viewers to view the <br /> described streets and lanes, and to report to this <br /> whether in their opinion, any, and if any what <br /> would result in vacating and closing the <br /> <br /> STREET: That portion of Trotter Street south of Ballard <br /> and lying between the southern right-of-way line of <br /> Avenue (which right-of-way line is 70 feet south of the <br /> of the Seaboard Coastline Railroad track), and the <br /> across Trotter Street of the northerly line of the <br /> conveyed to Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing <br /> by deed of Mamie Blanchard Pierce, et vir, dated <br /> 3, 1982, and recorded in the Clerk's Office of the <br /> Court of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, in Deed book <br />at page 620. <br /> <br />STREET: That portion of Hyman Street north of the south <br /> Duncan Street and lying between the south side of Duncan <br />and south side of Ballard Avenue, being a portion of <br />Street shown on the Plat of Hyman Ville, which plat is <br /> in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City <br /> ~eake, Virginia, in Map Book 5, at page 63. <br /> <br /> STREET (UNPLATTED): That portion of an undedicated stree6 <br />arying width lying between the north side of Elmhurst Lane <br /> south side of Ballard Avenue, the centerline of which i~ <br /> as "C/L existing pavement (20'~)" and shown on that <br />'~in plat entitled "Street Closure Plat Hattonsville Project <br />Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority, Portsmouth, <br />inia", dated April 10, 1995, revised May 14, 1995, a copy of <br /> may be examined with this street closure application filed <br /> Planning Department of the City of Portsmouth, <br /> <br /> <br />
