Vii to kn¢ Ho% 181 June 27, 1995 Motion by Mr.,Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Martin, to adopt following resolution, and was adopted by the following vote~ "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY TWO ELS OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE AREA OF THE REGIONAL JAIL 'E TO PORTSMOUTH REDEVELOPMENT A/gD HOUSING AUTHORITY. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, 'ginia, that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized clonvey two parcels of property located in that area to be as the Regional Jail Site to Portsmouth Redevelopment and Authority (PR~A) with special warranty of title as said is hereinafter described: CUL PARCEL 1 HATTONSVILLE BLOCK 555 DE SAC AT THE END OF HYMAN STREET ALL that certain lot, p~ece or parcel of land, lying, and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, and being numbered and designated as "0.24" acres, as shown on that plat entitled: "Plat Showing Property Conveyed to City from Carl E. Bowers", dated December 12, 1975, the shaded parcel at the intersection of Hyman Road and a entitled "Industrial Access Road", and recorded in the s Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, in Deed Book 685, at page 664, and being more bounded and described as follows, to-wit: at a point on the northwest side of Hyman Street at line between Lots 38 and 39 as shown on the Plat of Ville, which plat is duly recorded in the Clerk's Office the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, Virginia, in Map 5, at page 63, and from said point of beginning running in direction along said dividing line N. 24 degrees W. a distance of 83.84 feet; thence S. 26 degrees 17'56" distance of 22.86 feet; thence S. 69 degrees 42'29" W. a of 50.93 feet; thence S. 26 degrees 17'56" W. a of 28.00 feet; thence S. 21 degrees 15'51" W. a of 47.42 feet; thence S 26 degrees 17'56" W. a distance 4.00 feet to the north side of an Industrial Access Road, as Elmhurst Lane; thence running an an easterly along the right-of-way of Elmhurst Lane to Hyman thence running northerly along the northwest side of Street to the point of beginning.
