<br /> The circulation of books in the public library is increasing so that
<br />the present personnel c~nnot h~ndle the situation slone. For some time we have had the services
<br />of a young girl for one hour a day to relieve this crowded situation. However, ~he work is
<br />steadily increasing to such an extent that the Librari~u feels that she cannot do justice
<br />to the library or the public without more help.
<br /> Enowing your interest in the libr~y I sm writi~r~ to ask if you will
<br />recommend ~o the Council ~u additional appropriation of five dollars ($5.00) per month, or
<br />sixty dollars [$60.00) per year, so ~e may be able to employ this ~ou~g girl fo= two hours
<br />a day instead of one.
