Dear Sir :-

I herewith enclose a blue print showing a strip of land on Maryland Ave. between
~ilitary Road and Princeton Road, Suffolk, the width of the land at Military ?~ad being 24.4
feet, running out to zero at Princeton Road. '

When this land was platted it was in Nansemond County, and the representative
of the Home Builders & Finance Corp., the owner of the land, platted the streets ,incorrectly.

It develops from a recent survey which I have had made that the Land 'Company
extended Maryland Ave. West of the Military Road on the same North property line as Maryland
Ave. East of th~ ~ilitary Road, snd in doing so they have encroached on the property of the
City of Portsmouth at the North West corner of Maryland Ave. and Military Road as noted above.

Since ~the land was platted it h~s been embraced withinrth~ corporate limits of
bythetheCitYHome°f BuildersSuff°lk' &andFinancethe rightScorp, in the streets have been conveyed to the City of Suffolk
It seems to me expedient that this property line be corrected by a deed of con-
veyance of the strip of land to the City of Suffolk, and as any charges for the lan~ will have
to be peid by that City, and in view of our relations with Suffolk and its Officials, I re-
commend that this str~p of land be conveyed without cha~ge, or at a nominal cha~ge sufficient
t~ pay the necessary expense of drawing the deed and other incidental expense.

Yours italy,
