<br />an ordinance to appropriate $60,000 from the Capital
<br />Improvements Fund, and $50,000 from the Public Utility Capital
<br />Improvements Fund for expenses associated with the issuance of
<br />General Obligation Bonds.
<br />
<br /> "In preparation of the upcoming General Obligation Bond
<br />issue, it is necessary to appropriate funds to pay for expenses
<br />associated with issuing the bonds. Funding was authorized in
<br />the current Capital Improvement Program in anticipation of these
<br />expenses.
<br />
<br /> Included in these expenses are fees for the rating
<br />agencies, legal fees, financial advisor fees, printing costs,
<br />and travel expenses to New York to meet with the rating
<br />agencies.
<br />
<br /> I, therefore, reco~LaLLend the appropriation of $60,000 from
<br />the Capital Improvements Fund and $50,000 from the Public
<br />Utility Capital Improvements Fund for the expenses associated
<br />with the issuance of General Obligation Bonds. Witk your
<br />approval of this item, the balance in the Capital Improvements
<br />Fund will be $2,992,253, and the b~lance in the Public Utility
<br />Capital Improvements Fund will be $20,854,452."

<br />Island Landfill, and a motion to award the bid to Fairbanks
<br />Scales.

<br /> A. Ordinance to appropriate $14,000 from the Capital
<br />Improvements Fund for repairs to scales at the Craney Island
<br />Landfill. Each year approximately 27,000 tons of material are
<br />disposed of at the landfill through various City projects and
<br />collection of bulk refuse. Material disposed of at the landfill
<br />must be weighed before disposal, however, the scales are
<br />inoperable due to needed repairs.
