R. Hall, Inc. <br /> <br /> A. Ordinance to appropriate $430,000 from the Capital <br />Improvements Fund and $107,196 from the Public Utility Capital <br />Improvements Fund for street and drainage improvements in the <br />Simonsdale area. The first phase will include improvements to <br />East and West Roberts Court. <br /> <br />B. Motion to award the contract to W. R. Hall, Inc. <br /> <br /> "The 1994-99 Capital Improvement Plan includes funds for <br />street and drainage improvements in the Simonsdale area. Bids <br />were received on October 26, 1995 for the first phase of this <br />project, which includes improvements to East and West Roberts <br />Court. <br /> <br /> The bids were competitive and favorable with today's <br />construction market (see Attachment No. 1). The total <br />anticipated project costs are as follows: <br /> <br />Construction Contract (W. R. <br />Contract Administration and <br />Contingencies <br /> <br />Hall, Inc.) <br />Inspection <br /> <br />$522,242.10 <br />$ 29,953.90 <br />$ 40,000.00 <br /> <br />TOTAL ANTICIPATED PROJECT COST <br />LESS PRIOR APPROPRIATIONS <br />TOTAL APPROPRIATION REQUIRED <br /> <br />$592,196.00 <br />-$ 55,000.00 <br />$537,196.00 <br /> <br /> The Director of Public Works recommends award of the <br />construction contract to the low bidder, W. R. Hall, Inc., and <br />an appropriation in the amount of $537,196. Of the total <br />appropriation, $430,000 will be funded from the Capital <br />Improvements Fund and $107,196 will be funded from the Public <br />Utility Capital Improvements Fund. <br /> <br /> I concur with the Director of Public Works and, with your <br />approval of this item, the balance in the Capital Improvements <br />Fund will be $3,052,253 and the balance ~n the Public Utility <br />Capital Improvements Fund will be $20,904,452." <br /> <br />Karen Jordan~ 107 Elmhurst Court, requested information on <br />future projects for Simonsdale. <br /> <br /> <br />
