<br /> The School Boar~ at its meeting en September l, directed'the Finance Oommittee of
<br />the School Bo~rd to ask your approval of two greatly needed~uildim~p~ejects in the Portsmouth
<br />Schools.

<br /> 1.-Am annex to the Briggs School, estimated cost for building and necessary
<br /> land - $75,000.
<br /> 2. A heating plant and librsmy room at the Oooke Street School estimated
<br /> cost -$7,5o0,;
<br />
<br /> The Boa~d is requesting that the City Oounoil approve these projects in order
<br />that application may be-made to the N.R.A. for a donation and loan under the terms of the
<br />N.~R.A., the construction of these projects to.be dependent upon the grant of such donation
<br />and loan.
<br /> The Finance 0ommittee wishes t'o have a conference with your honorable body at am
<br />early date to be fixed by you in order that the urgent ueed of these projects and sundry
<br />other details may be set f~rth and discussed fully.
