The Attorney sta~es that there has been a misunderstanding with
Weiner, over the price of his land, and as a compromise he offers to conFey the laad for the
price mentioned; namely, $42?.50, upon the condition that he is permitted ~c collect and use
the rent from the buildings thereon for a period of three years or longer, should the Girly
not be ready to utilize the land at the end of three- years. The Attorney states that he-is
of the opinion that the Oity will net 'need the land upon which the buildings rest for some
time to come, and suggests {hat the transaction be closed, upon these terms.
I therefore recommend that the Attorney be authorized to purchase the
various oarcels to the limit of the appropriation.
The City Attorney further states that $500.00 was included in the ap -
propriation as compensation to Er. Phillips for work in this connection, and inasmuch as
Phillips appears to have performed his work, and is desirous of obtaining the money, I recom-
mend that he be paid."
