For your benefit, wo~d llke to <br /> state that this proposition is not a money-making one for us, and is only put on to make some <br /> one happy, and also pleasure for others. This proposition is self~sustaining, and I ~ sup - <br />~posed to clear the expense for this undertskir~. <br /> Ye are endeavoring to make t his celebration_ still better tha~ the_ one held <br /> last year, and i~ will take concerted action to gain t~is point, and our committees are exert- <br /> ing every energy to please ~he Public and to also have a celebratio$ ~hich will be remembered <br /> for years to come. <br /> We are endevoring to ~rk up aprogram that will have the widest possible ap- <br /> peal, and sincerely hope that everyone of you will take advantage of the opportunity to at - <br /> tend and participate. <br /> The com~ittee is glad to announce that again we will have the Bathing Beauty <br /> Con~es~, in which everyone can ta~e part. The winner of the con.test will receive the title of <br /> Miss Portsmouth, besides, several most desir~ole awards, including a handsome Trophy Cup, and a <br /> trip to ~he ~orld~s Fa&r,~ with all arpense paid. <br /> The contest is sure to brir~ to Portsmouth as well a ~ to organized labor,much <br /> desir~b!e publicity, ~ud I m~y state, that up to the present time, there are more than ten <br /> <br /> <br />
