<br />The following communication from the .City Attorney was read~

<br /> "At your last meeting you referred to me a letter from M~s. Le~the! P. Wim - -
<br />brough, requesting a refund of $30.00 for taxes paid in error. I find that the building on
<br />the land of Mrs. Wimbrougn at 628-30 Fayette Sto, was razed in 1938, as stated in her letter.
<br />This ~opes~ed to be done after the assessors had viewed the property~and they failed to re -
<br />move the assessment on the building from the Building Inspector's records. There was no
<br />building on the l~ud d~ing the years 1939 and 1940 and she should be refunded $30.00 or $15.
<br />for each of said years,"

<br /> "Under date of November 22nd,19~0, we had an agreement with Mr. W.L. Davis,
<br /> to use the Municipal Auditorium on the afternoon and evening of December 6, 19'40. We were
<br /> forced to c~ucel this agreement with Mr. Davis, after having paid th~ fee of $15.OO, and we
<br />.would appreciate it if you would mail us a check for the refund of the amount involved.
