Maupin to ooouoy an unused portion o~ King Stree't, for location ~ f railroad track and a wire fence. ~r~ City Attorney has dra~n these p~oers ~ud they are similar to ones entered into by other manufacturers, in the City and carry a clause ~¢nich requires that the tracks, etc. %~ll be removed at any time upon thirty days notice by the City. Ymupin be and he is hereby authorized to construct a railroad track on his property fronting three hundred and sixty (360) feet on the north side of King Street~ to a point distant one hundred and thirty (ll3) feet west from the west side of Chestnut Street, and along the edg~ of the north sidewalk of King Street, and to enclose said track with a wire fence, upon the condition that he enter into a contract ~th the City of Portsmouth ~o protect and save harmless the City ~ud its officials from all suits and damages that may be received or sustained by reason of b~s works, ~ud e~so that he will remove e~l property from the street of the City, upon thirty days notice.
