<br />quate for the proper conduct of football games. From the very inception of the clans for the
<br />~unic~oal Stadium, assur~uce has been given that temporary bleachers would be p~ovided on the
<br />west side of the field~ and it was with this assurance, definitely stated~ that Wood row ~ilson
<br />High School Athletic Association agreed originally to pay to the Oity o f Portsmouth for park
<br />maintenance, the sum of $1~OOO~OO~ This amount was subseGuently raised to $1~2OO.OO~ ~thout
<br />consulting the High School Athletic Association.
<br /> The High School Athletic Association feels that in all fairness the Council
<br />should provide for re,notary bleacher~ on the west side of the playing field and we respectful-
<br />ly request that immediate steps be taken to provide these bleachers so t hat they may be avail -
<br />able for the game with Maury Hi~n School on October 31st. The cost of these b!sachers will be
<br />approxim~tely $2,5OO.OO which will provide seating for 2500 persons.
