Sponsor's Accounts. The construction and equipment for the stadium are now comPleted~ insofar as plans were made, and it will be necessary that an appropriation of $4,5~0.OO be made in order that we may close out this account. The maintenance for the year, in amounts exoended and anticioated exoenditures for the balance of the year, amounts to $3,800.00. ~ - I ~espectfully recommend that the above amounts of $4,5?0.00 const~c- tion and ¥3,8~O. OO maintenance, be appropriated. ~ne income from the stadium this year, base~ on revenue already received and contracted for, ~ll amount to approximately $5,670.OO~" Motion of Mr. Hutchins to concur in the Manager's recommendation and to place an s~propriation of $8,3~O. OO for said Durpose, on its first reading, was adopted. Privilege of the floor was-granted to the 0ity Manager and the Dlredtor of Public'Works of Norfolk, who asked for the privilege of bringing a water line through Ports - mouth. On motion, the matter was referred to the City Mmuager and City Attorney, to report at the next meeting. The following appropriation requested by the 0ity Manager, laid on table at last meeting, was taken up: "Following informal discussions with the Oity Council, thoughtful considera- tion has been given to the matter of increasing the rates of pay of the men in the lower ineom~ brackets, at this time.
