Sponsor's Accounts. <br /> The construction and equipment for the stadium are now comPleted~ <br />insofar as plans were made, and it will be necessary that an appropriation of $4,5~0.OO be <br />made in order that we may close out this account. The maintenance for the year, in amounts <br />exoended and anticioated exoenditures for the balance of the year, amounts to $3,800.00. <br /> ~ - I ~espectfully recommend that the above amounts of $4,5?0.00 const~c- <br />tion and ¥3,8~O. OO maintenance, be appropriated. ~ne income from the stadium this year, base~ <br />on revenue already received and contracted for, ~ll amount to approximately $5,670.OO~" <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Hutchins to concur in the Manager's recommendation and to place <br />an s~propriation of $8,3~O. OO for said Durpose, on its first reading, was adopted. <br /> <br /> Privilege of the floor was-granted to the 0ity Manager and the Dlredtor of <br />Public'Works of Norfolk, who asked for the privilege of bringing a water line through Ports - <br />mouth. <br /> On motion, the matter was referred to the City Mmuager and City Attorney, to <br />report at the next meeting. <br /> <br /> The following appropriation requested by the 0ity Manager, laid on table at <br />last meeting, was taken up: <br /> <br /> "Following informal discussions with the Oity Council, thoughtful considera- <br />tion has been given to the matter of increasing the rates of pay of the men in the lower ineom~ <br />brackets, at this time. I will, ~herefore, recommend that the following hourly rates of pay <br />be established and that similar consideration also apply to the other men in %he same pay <br />brackets, who are on the monlhly payroll: <br /> <br /> Unskilled labo_ wm~, less than one year~s service . 40 oer hour <br /> " " " one year's'service .~4 -" " <br /> <br /> <br />
