<br />Justice. There being no other nominations~ same were closed; Nrc Cast was elected and by the

<br /> The following letter from the City Manager, laid on table at last meeting,

<br /> "Plans and specifications for extensions and improvements to our Water De -
<br />oartment have been approved by .the Government and we are now ady.er.~ls.ing for bids.
<br />- ~ total estimated cost of all ~he work is $~62,0qO.00,. of which the Gov-
<br />ernment has made a grant of $2??,224.00, leaving $184,816.OO to be provided by the Ctm~y.
<br /> In order that we may be in position to match Governmen~ funds, it will be
<br />necessary t. hst our pgr~.ion qf the expense be made available and I respectfnlly recommend that
<br />an appropriation of $18~,816.OO be made for this purpose. Arrangements f6r the financing of
<br />this work can be made after bids are opened and approved, subse~aent to Januamy 2orcA, 19~%2."
