<br />The following letter from the City Attorney was read:

<br /> "Sometime ago, I sold several parcels of real estate which had been
<br />abandoned by the owner and which was assesse~in the name of Lo Kootz.
<br /> Most of the property was, purchased in ~he name of th~ City and in the
<br />name of A. E. Parker, City Oell~¢~er. We h&~ been unaBl~ to dispose ef the property and it is
<br />necessary that we getdeeds and close~ the suit in orde'~'~o keep the records straight.
<br /> I request that you appropriate the sum of $~,~25. OO to pay for the
<br />land purchased on behalfof the City. This money will be immediately paid back into the City
<br />Treasury for taxes on the land."
<br /> On motion of Mr. Hutchins, the recommendation o~ the At$orney was con-

<br /> The Manager recommended that $1,O80. OO be added to the Budget for a
<br />Clerk in ~he Oity Colleotor~s office, to be used in the cstlection of back ~axes.

<br /> "The 19~3 Budget ~arrtes an appropriaticn-o f $~5,OOO. for a central
<br />garageand repair shop as ~n outlay for Capital Improvement, and t believe this expenditure
<br />would, pay f~r itself in reduced costs ~o the C2ty Gevern~ent in a period of from three to five
<br />years.
<br /> There is also an item of $63~OOO. in the budget, which Ds to pay for
<br />serial bonds due during the year.
