Mason presents <br />authority of his appointment, was adopted. <br /> <br /> Motion ef Mr. ~ox that the Oity Manager be authorized to employ a <br />dog catcher for the City, to be paid from the Dog ~und, on proper authority, was approved. <br /> <br /> The following letter was read and on motion ordere~ filed: <br /> <br /> "At our regular meeting on December 1st, the Polygon Club voted <br />unanimously to endorse the action taken by theOity Manager ~ud the City Oouncil in its present <br />drive cm vice and other currupt conditions prevalent in our City and further to offer our <br />wholehearted moral support to continued efforts in this direction. <br /> It was further stipulated that this letter be mailed te the City M~n- <br />ager, the City Council and the three newspapers having a circulation i n~eOity o f Portsmouth. <br /> Th2 Polygon Club is vitally interested in ~uy effort to better con- <br />ditions in our community.
