That in every instance~ whether it be in the morning
or at night~ the buses serving this area ane packed from end to
end with passengers sitting and standing and that the usual
passsnser load is about sixty passengers. No particular sche~
dule is maintained~ often ~wo or three buses are running toge-
ther and then again passengers have to wait as much as thirty ~o
forty minutes between buses~ It ~as been further noted that
buses to other sections of the 0ity are not nearly so crowded and
ru.n on a much better schedule than t2oss to Prentis Park.
It was further resolved that the Prentis Park section of the
0ity was without ~%e proper police protection and that during the
last two weeks four holdups have occurred in this section.
Therefore, in view of these facts and that these buses are serv-
ing Dale Homes~ Swanson Homes~ Prentis Park and other nearby terri-
tory sr~d that the population of these sections has increased en -
tirely out of proportion to the buses in service to this section
and that the police protection is inadequate that these conditions
be grought ~o the attention of th~ City Council so that the neoes~
sary steps may be taken ~o correct this ocndition.
It was also resolved that a copy of this resolution b e spread on
the minutes of the 01ub and that this resolution be signed by the
Committee appointed to draft this resolution.
j.L.Jolliff~A.B~Creecy and E.E.
