<br />merit located in the County of Norfolk, Virginia (Identifica
<br />tion No. VA 4~25~); and

<br />WHEREA~, the City owns certain sanitary sewer mains and other
<br />facilities for the disposal ef raw sewage and is engaged in
<br />the disposal of raw sewage in its corporate limits near the
<br />community in which the Development is located; and

<br />The Manager presented the following resolution:

<br />"BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth,
<br />Virginia, that the following contracts, namely -
<br />
<br /> (1) A contract with the Norfolk & Western Railway Co~oany
<br />concerning the installation ~f certain water mains in the
<br />City of ~uffolk, dated April 13th, 19~3, and
<br />
<br />(2) A contract with the Virginian Railway Company, con -
<br />oerning the installation o f certain wa~er mains in the City
<br />of ~uffolk, dated April 13th, 1~3, be and the same are
<br />hereby_approved, an~ the City Manager is authorized and di-
<br />rected to execute said contract on behalf of the City, an~
<br />~he ,seal of the 0it~ is directed to be affixed to the con
<br />tracts to be attested by the City Clerk.
