<br /> 5th - ~Funds were provided several years ago for the paving of Crawford St.
<br />when the tracks were removed. However, due to t he railroad being unable to secure rail re -
<br />placement, the project was deferred.
<br /> The railroad has now provided facilities for team tracks and is pland
<br />ning immediately to remove the east track on Crawford St. They will place the west track in
<br />the center of the street. Therefore, it is necessary for us to pave~
<br /> The cost of this paving is approximately $1y,OO0.OO, and a similar
<br />amount will be needed for new paving on Effingham and North Stsu, where the new fire station
<br />is being built.
<br /> This will necessitate an appropriation of $35,000.00 for streets,
<br />which can be replaced by bonds issued at a later date.~

<br /> On motion o f Er. Howard, an appropriation of $35,000.00 for said purpose,
<br />was placed on its first reading.

<br />the Water Department, and am recommending that we accept the bid of the Dravo Corporation for
<br />the necessary pumps:
