A <br />mary of bids is attached hereto~ <br /> Two bids were received for Division DA~ five for Division DB and four for <br />Divi~on DC~ Divisio~A comprised the 48 inch force main from Armstrong and County Stsc to <br />Pinners Point; Division DB the 36-inch force main on ~e$1ey Street; and Division DC the <br />inch~ 30~inch~ 36~inch and 4~inch force main from the several pumping sta~ion~ at Glasgow <br />Street, Race Street and 0~mden Avenue ~o connect to the 48~inch force main of Divi~iO~n DA <br /> On all divisions prices were solicited for both cas~ iron pipe and for <br />reinforoed concrete pipe~ There were no bids for cas~ iron ~ n Division D~ ~ud only one bid <br />each in Divisions DB ~ud DC. For Division DB the proposal based on reinforced concrete pice <br />was ~ll~800.O0 less ~han the proposal of the same contractor based on cast iron pipe, and for <br />Division DC the corresponding difference was ~43~492~20~ The bid for concrete oip~ <br />$48,56y.O0 less ~h~u the only bid received for cast iron pipe for Division DB and ~53,116o00 <br />for Division DC. Pinkston & Company for Division DB. <br /> Division DA~ BB and DC constitute major sections of the total Portsmouth <br />project.
