it will supply to the City and the City agrees that it <br />will purchase from the Company electric service for the <br />operation of traffic signals~ allof which a~e to be in- <br />stalled by aud maintained at the cost md eD ense o£ the <br />City. <br /> <br />The rates to be cha~ged by the Company and paid by the City <br />for the electric service for the lamps of ~he various signals <br />of the various types ~nd sizes a~e as Follows: <br /> <br />Net~Flat.Cha~ge <br /> <br />Yearly basis payable in twelve equal monthly installments. <br /> <br />(a) T~affic signals - used 24 hours or less each day. <br /> <br />Each lamp 60 watts or less~2.00 per l~zp per yea~ <br />Each la~p 100 watts @ 4~00 per lamp pe~ yea~ <br />Each lamp 150 watts ~ 6.00 per lamp per yea~ <br /> <br />(b) C~tion signals - used 34 hours or less each day. <br /> <br />Each lamp 60 watts or less~ $6.00 per la~p per yea~ <br />Each lmmp 100 watts ~ 10~00 per lamp pe~ yea~ <br />Each lmnp 150 watts @ 15.00 per lamp p-er year <br />Each l~p 200 watts ~ 20,00 per lm~p pe~ yea~ <br /> <br />(b-l) Gaseous Source <br /> <br />Gaseous source traffic lighting using 4000 hours per yea~ o~ <br />less, each volt ampere of billing load - 4 c per yea~. <br /> <br />Gaseous so,ce t~affic lighting using m~e than 4000 ho~s per <br />yea~, each volt ampere of billing load - 8~ per yea~. <br /> <br />If the nameplate rating of City equipment is not available or <br />is eonsidered bythe Company to be incorrect, Compauy shall <br />establish the billing load by suitable test to dete~uine the <br />instantaneous maxim~mload. <br /> <br />(c) Traffic Officers Lighting - u~ed only when office~ is on duty. <br /> Each 500 watt lamp @ $20.00 per l~mp per yea~. <br /> <br />(d) Net monthly~minimum <br /> <br />$1.00 per intersection <br /> <br />(e) <br /> <br />The Comp~uy~reserves the right when traffic signals are <br />ne~ of standard makes or do not meet the above classifi- <br />cations to meter the service and bill it on applicable rates. <br /> <br /> (?) Additional Lamps The Company agrees that it will from time <br />to time du~ing the terse f thms agreement, furnish suchl~s, in addition to those specified <br />in the above mentioned schedule, on existing lighting circuits or extensions to the same as <br />hereinafter provided for, together with.the necessary distribution system and fixt~es, ~d <br />will operate and maintain the smme as may be o~dered by the City, at.the same rate per lamp of <br />the type and size specified; provided,~however, that the Company sh~ll not be requi~ed to fu~- <br />nishm~d install additional lamps, wires, poles and fixtures within one year next preceding <br />the date of e~piration of this agreement, or az~y renewal thereof, u~less the same has been fur- <br />ther renewed for an additional te~m. <br /> <br /> (7) Conditions forExtensio~s The Company agrees t~t it will, <br />at its ovm cost and expense, make such extensions to its street lighting system a s maybe rea- <br />sonably required by the City. <br /> <br /> (8) .0~.ta~es and Interruptions .~f Service The City shall cause <br />its police or other prope~ authori$1es to report to the Company, as pr~mP$1y as possible, any <br />and all lights that a~e oui er not bu~ properly, and if the lights se r epo~ted shall not <br />be ~epaired a~d relit as soon thereafler as practicable, then the City may make the following <br />deductions from the payment for the current months du~ing which said lamp is out: <br /> <br /> There shall be a pro rata deduction at the rate of the compensation <br />to be paid hereunder, for any substantial period of time during~aich amy of the lamps shall <br />fail to burn, au accurate account of ~hich shall be kept by the Compauyaud by the City, Any <br />difference between the two accounts shall b e equitably adjusted. <br /> <br /> The 0ompany shall restore the service' w~ h reasonable promptness <br />after any inte~uption due to acts of God, or public enemy, sleets, sto~ms or u~avoidable ac- <br />cidents or by any other cause. <br /> <br /> (9~ Quality of a~.s. The Cempany.w~.ll, a~ any and all t~mes, <br />upon notice from the City N~age~, or duly authorzzed representative of the City, remove er <br />repai~ at its own cos$, any lamp bulb deemed belowthe trad~ ra$~ug of such lamp, and will <br />place same with a lamp bulb of the same type, which shall be of the same ~rade ratings, <br /> <br /> <br />
