<br /> "The two Federal agencies, the Federal Works Agency and the Federal
<br />Public Housing Authorityre~pectively, have indicated to the No~folk County S~ool Boa~d thei~
<br />willingness to turn over to t he said school board at a nominal price the six-room school build-
<br />ing ~ud the maintenance and management building connected to the school building by a covered
<br />walkway, located in Section B, Alexander Park Trailers at the intersection of South Rodmanand
<br />~cLean Streets.
<br /> Uoon the approval o f the owner, which is the City of Portsmouth, releas.
<br />Lug the above Federal agencies from the terms of their lease and transferring the lease to the
<br />Norfolk County School Board, upon such t e~ms as may be satisfactory to the Norfolk County Soho~
<br />Boa~d ~nd the City of Portsmouth. In short, the Federal Govezum~ent wishes to be ~eleased of t~
<br />obligation as set forth in its lease of olea~ing the land and returning it to its owner in its
<br />o~iginal~ form. The Norfolk County School Board will need this school b~ilding, whieh i s a tem-
<br />porary affair, for maybe one o~ two school sessions after which time it is willing to negotiate
<br />with the City of Portsmouth regar~ng the condition of the land to be retuz~ned to the City°
<br /> The Norfolk County School Boar~ respectfully requests the Portsmouth
<br />City Council for permission to lease the City-owned land upon which these two structures a~e lo.
<br />cared in order that their use for school purposes may be continued until such time as they woul,
