west of the Municipal Stadium. This club is khown~ the Junior Optimist Boys~ Club and it's
more than 80 members attend the club regularly. Our success with these youngsters has been
rem~rkabie and very encouraging to the members of ou~ own club. During ~ae past year, w e have
spent Considerable money and'time in an effort to make this a complete Boys' Club and to of-
keep~them off the streets and out of the mischief that many of them had gotten into in the
p&st.. Certainly, this club is one of the finest contributions that is being made to combat
juvenile delinquency in our City. We recognize that the problem is not always w%th the boys
themselves., b~t in the main is a lack of good adult guidance and Sups~vlsion on the part of
the parents and others who come in contact vAth these men of tomorrow.
plied for these boys all during the year as well a s an ~nnual Christmas party and an affair
