<br />sash and panes are gone, so are the doors, the plastering has fallen, and it is an eyesore,but
<br />the building is not structurally unsafe and it could~b e repaired at a reasonable cos t..and ma.de
<br />fid ~er living p~posss. Due to the fact that it is vacant and in such a rundo~n condmzion, mt
<br />no doubt is a fire hazard and should either be removed o r brought up t o ~ tandard for living

<br />and none of the people in the neighborhood seem to know auything of her whereabouts. ~ney have
<br />not seenor heard anything about her for years, whether she is living or dead&s not knovm.
<br />There has not been any taxes~oaid on this property since 1932. It is our understanding that
<br />those who have occupme~ this place =n the last several years just move zn ~nm out wmt:aout pay-
<br />lng rent to sm_yens. There ms a man named Lmncoln ~,mllmams who resmdes at 1420 Rutter St.
<br />who will give the City :~V5.00 for the house. He will salvage the lumber ar_d clean up the site
<br />to the City's satisfaction. This could be spplied to the bkck taxes. He also agrees to offer
<br />~475.00 for the house and the lots if the City will pu~ it up for sale for delinquent taxes.
<br />He will post ~100.O0 to show his good faith.
<br /> I respectfully recommend that the City sell this property for back t axes.

<br /> ~u ~terco~uection between the electric lines of the Vmrgznia Elecvric and Power Company and
<br />the gas-driven electric generators being installed in the Firmers Point Sewage Disposalplant,
<br /> owned by the City of Portsmouth, whereby the Company would purchase the entire output of the
<br /> generators and the'City would buy the entire electrical requirements for tl%eplant from the
<br /> Company.
<br /> At a meeting~ held in the City Nanager's office, ~arch ~0th, l$~, T.~.
<br /> Niles of the fiz~m of Greeley and Hansen,presented certain figures ~nich indicated that there
<br /> will be considerable gas generated at this pl~ut which douldbe used to generate an estimated
<br /> $~O,000 k.w. hours of electricity per year over and above the normal electrical requirements
<br /> of the plant.
