0.24 <br /> <br />JanuaW 14.1997 <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Martin, and seconded by Mr. Clemons, to award a contract to <br />WACO, Inc. for $6,400 for the asbestos removal for the Cavalier Manor Recreation <br />Center. and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Benn, Clemons, Griffin, Martin, Pitts, Robinett, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />97-10 - Motion to transfer $170,490 from the Grants Contingency Account for the <br />continuation of PART-H of the individuals with Disabilities Education Act Prog ram. <br />with no local match required. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Adoption of a motion to transfer $170,490 from the Grants Contingency Account for <br />the continuation of this program. <br /> <br />Purpose and Need: <br /> <br />· This program provides services to infants and toddlers with disabilities, and their <br /> families. <br /> <br />· services inClude, but are not limited to, therapy, counseling, health and nursing, <br /> special instruction, referrals, and service coordination. <br /> <br />Financial Impact: <br /> <br />· Source of funds is 100% federal. No local match is required. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Clemons, and Seconded by Mr. Robinett, to transfer $170,490 <br />for the continuation of PART-H of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act <br />Program, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Benn, Clemons, Griffin, Martin, Pitts, Robinett, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />97-11 - Mb[ion to transfer $19,105 from the Grants Contingency Account to train <br /> community members and police officers in conflict resolution and provide <br /> mediation services to the community through the NEAT offices, with no local <br /> match required. <br /> <br />RecOmmendation: <br /> <br />· Adoption of a motion to transfer $19,105 from the Grants Contingency Account <br /> for the Community Mediation Program. <br /> <br />Purpose and Need: <br /> <br />This program will train community members and police officers in conflict <br />resolution and provide mediation services to the community through the NEAT <br />offices. <br /> <br />Financial Impact: <br /> <br />· SOurce of funds is a grant from the Portsmouth General Hospital Foundation. No <br /> local match is required. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Clemons, and seconded by Mr. Martin, to transfer $19,105 to <br />train community members and police officers in conflict resolution and provide <br />mediation services to the community through the NEAT offices, with no local match <br />required, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br /> <br />
