<br />tion work in t he annexed territor~y, has requested that tt~e matter be held in abeyance until
<br />the new City Manager a~rives.~

<br /> 17th - "Attached is a letter from J. H. Doleman, 92% Emmett SO.,
<br />calling a~tention to an injury suffered by his wife on t he 30th of
<br /> I recommend that this matter be referred to the City Attor
<br />ney with authority to act."
<br /> On motion referred to the City Attorney with power to act.
<br /> 18th - "At the last meeting you laid on :~ne table the matter of
<br />ttu-ity of $150~00.00 A & D Bonds,~and asked if the Sinking Fundhad funds available to redeem
<br />these bonds.
<br /> The Sinking Fund may have this amotuut of money on hand,but
<br />I do not feel that it would be proper for the Sinking Fund Commission to pay these bonds out
<br />of ft~uds that have been set aside for other specific bond issued. Should they do, you would
<br />have to issue other bonds to the Sinking Fund Commission to take rheim place.

<br />range program f. or the redemption of bonds and ~ wouldrecommend that a meeting be hel~ wz~n the
<br />Sinking Fund Commission in order to determine whether or not the City Council is in accord wid

<br /> im~ Fund Commission and request that_ they pay these $150,000.00 A & D bonds when they mature."

<br /> 19th - "One of our City Police cars was involved in an accident
<br /> v~th a 2even-Uo Bottling Company truck.~he d~iver of the truck m. as at fault and his infurance
<br /> company pa~d for the damages. However, the check was ~de payable to the Cityof Portsmouth
<br /> instead of to the Company which repaired the automobile.
<br /> This money will h ave to b e deposited into the General Fund
<br /> a~ud I am requesting an appropriation of $101.08 to be credited to the Police Department's ap
<br /> propriation, to reimburse theme~

<br />a bill for $76.40 from M. Katz, asking for reimbursement in that amoUnt on a ccou~t of his
<br />claim that the curb went down and broke a lead pipe.
<br /> I ara attaching a letter from F. M. Calvert, Plumbing In-
<br />specter, and in accordance with h~s ~uggestzon, I recommen that this mat2er be held up until
<br />Mr. Calvert can confer with ~. Rattle, the plumber, who is now confined t o a hosp~al in Bal-
