BE IT RESOLVED, t hat the Attorney f er the Commission in conjunc- tion with a tto~neys for the City o f Portsmouth and the County o f Norfolk, draw. a contract covering such award. The City or County may make separate acqeptanees as to their particular award, and BE IT FURTHER ~ESOLVED, should further loss be-sustained by the City of Portsmouth and the County of Norfolk by agreement with the Commission to cease to operate the Ferries, then the said Commis- sion may make l~arther awards under the t e~ms cud conditions as provided in Chapter 150, Acts of Assembly of 19~, a nd BE IT FURTH~ RESOLVED, that should the Commission a t any time deem it best to refund the present bond issue, then the award or awards made to the City o f Portsmsuth and the County o f Norfolk shall be subordinated to such ~efunding or refinancing of said bonds, and BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Chairman of said Commission is hereby authorized and empowered and directed to execute such con- tract or contracts on behalf of the Commission, and to have his signature attested thereto by the Secretary, with the seal of the Commission thereto affixed." The following report from the Committee who met v~th the Nu~icipai Em- ployees' Union, was presented: ~The Committee appointed to meet with the ~unicipal consider their request for better working conditions for City ~mployees, the following recommendations: Employees' Union, to would like to m 1. That all City employees be granted two weeks vacation, a wsek consisting of seven consecutive days, including Sunday. 2. That all City employees, who have been employed for twelve consecutive months, be granted five days sick leave, with p ay, annually, accumulating up t o twenty- five days. 5.
