Motion of ltr. H~¢ard that the City enter into an ~reement with the High~ay Department~ was adooted. 6th - "I s~2omit herewith a letter from Mr. J.T. Boswell~ a former employee of the City of Portsmouth~ requesting his retirement ftuuds. I have ascertained the amount to be ~6~.84 and recommend that this ~o~mut be approved for payment." Motion of Mr. Stu~tevant to appropriate ~64.8~ for said purpose was adopted. ~th "I snbmit herewith a letter dated September 6th~ 1950~ ~om the Public Housing Administration ~ requesting that the City advise the administration whether or not it intends to apply for the transfer of the temporary war housing located off Gosport Rd, and kno~m as Carver Homes (VA_ ~%4244,) on or before December Bl~19~O. i recommend that the City notify the Housing Authority that it does not intend to apply for the transfer of the temporary ~r housing."
