The number two revised plan is number three. This is for your consideration.- Notion of Mr. Stur~evant to approve Plan #2 submitted by the Tunnel Com,~ssion, was lost and by the following vote: Ayes: Bilisely, Grimes, Howard, Sturtevamt Nays: D~?e, Houghton, Smith, Warren,Weiseman, Wilson Motion of Mr. Houghton to suspend the tales to hear from Nr. McLean, was adopted. Mr. McLean spoke in reference to the above matter. Motion of ~r. Sturtevant to adopt Plan#3, submitted by the Tannel Commission, was adopted, and by the following vote: Ayes: Duke, Bilisoly, Grimes, Houghton~ Howard, Smith, Sturtevant, Warren,Wilson Nays: Weiseman 19th - "I regret to ~ Xse you that due to 'legal restrictions, the Cigarette Tax Ordinance can not become effective on February 15th,~ 1951 as anticipated; therefore, it has been necessary for me to in- struct all Department heads to discontinue the 'cost of living' bonus that had been authorized January 1, 1951. The per diem payrolls will become effective at the ~ud of the pay week of the 12th. of February and the smmi-monthly payroll will be effective on February 1st, 1951; howeve~ if funds can be made available, I will he very glad to recommend to the Council ~hat these pay increases be reinstated and made retro- active.. REGULATE MOTOR BUS PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION IN THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH' AND A~ENDMENTS THEREOF.
