070 <br /> <br />March 11~ 1997 <br /> <br />Financial Impact: <br /> <br />· A purchase pdce of $35,000 per acre for a total of $161,560 has been <br /> established. After sale to Maryview, the property will remain tax exempt. <br /> <br />· Maryview will pay an additional $89,000 towards the cost of relocating current <br /> athletic fields and the construction of a new concession stand. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Ciemons, and seconded by Mr. Martin, to adopt the following <br />resolution, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br /> "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY <br />PROPERTY AT HUNT-MAPP MIDDLE SCHOOL TO PORTSMOUTH <br />REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING AUTHORITY. <br /> <br /> BE iT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the <br />City Manager be. and he hereby is, authorized to convey to Portsmouth <br />Redevelopment and Housing Authority a parcel of property located to the east of <br />Hunt-Mapp Middle School, said parcel to be 4.4 acres, more or less, and to be more <br />particularly described by survey and plat. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, that the City Manager be. and he hereby is, authorized to execute such <br />other documents necessary to effect the purposes of said conveyance, as in his <br />discretion he may deem appropriate and in the best interest of the City." <br /> <br />Ayes: Benn, Clemons. Anderson and Theresa L.
