<br /> Motion by Mr. Martin, and seconded by Mr. Clemons, to adopt the following
<br />resolution, and was adopted by the following vote:
<br />
<br /> "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY
<br />PROPERTY IN THE WEAVER REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT TO PORTSMOUTH
<br />REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING AUTHORITY.
<br />
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia. that the
<br />City Manager be. and he hereby is, authorized to convey to Portsmouth
<br />Redevelopment and Housing Authority the following property, to,wit:
<br />
<br />PARCEL 1
<br />
<br />All that certain piece, or parcel of land, with its improvements, lying
<br />situate, and being in the City of Portsmouth Virginia, as shown on that
<br />certain plat entitled "Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing
<br />Authority, Urban Renewal-Weaver Redevelopment Project. Boundary
<br />and Property Line Map, City of Portsmouth, Virginia"', made by R.
<br />Kenneth Weeks, Engineers, Norfolk, Virginia, dated January 17, 1967,
<br />which said plat is duly recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit of
<br />the City of Portsmouth. Virginia in Map Book 5 at page 64, beginning
<br />at the southwest intersection of South Street and Thomas Circle, and
<br />from thence running along the west side of Thomas Circle S 3°30'16''
<br />E 476.01 feet to northwest intersection of Clifford Street and Thomas
<br />Circle(both of which are now closed); thence along the north right of
<br />way line of Clifford Street S 86°54'14"E 333.01 feet to a point; thence
<br />along a curve to the left having a radius of 50 feet, an arc distance of
<br />100.42 feet to a point; thence S 85°56'55'' W 5 feet to a point of
<br />curvature; thence along a curve to the right, having a radius of 15 feet,
<br />an arc distance 23.56 feet to a point on the east side of Crabapple
<br />Street; thence N4°03'05'' W along the east side of Crabapple Street
<br />28 feet, more or less, to a point which is the southwest corner of Lot 31
<br />on the certain plat entitled "Plan of Tabb's Land"; which said plat is
<br />duly recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of
<br />Chesapeake, Virginia in Deed Book 81 at page 470; thence east along
<br />the southern line of Lots 31 and 33 on said plat 60 feet, more or less,
<br />to the southeast corner of Lot 33 on said plat; thence north, parallel
<br />with Crabapple Street 262.5 feet. more or less, to a point on the south
<br />side of South Street; thence along the south side of South Street
<br />N68°00'21'E 359.96 feet to the point of beginning.
