<br /> I recommend that the Council consider the question o f rescinding the previous ordi-
<br />nance and that a new ordinance be introduced providing for the abutting property owners to pay 50% of the cost
<br />of sidewalk improvements as provided by the City Charter."

<br /> Mr. W.T. Parker, representing taxi-cab owners, asked that the fees charged taxi-cab drivers
<br />be reduced due to the difficulty in securing drivers for the cabs.
