<br />$274.20 has been paid in error for sewage treatment fees by the oroperty owners whose names appeer on the at-
<br />tached letter and recommend that the City Auditor and the City_ Collector refund: the respective amounts to each
<br />property owner as 'shown opposite their names on the letter.

<br />Chesapeake and potomac Telephone Company for the telephone building located on Queen Street.
<br /> I-complied with your instructions and of,feted the Telephone Company the sum of
<br />$20,000.00 fog the building~and g~ennds. The Telephone Company would not agree to accept the sum of $20,000.00
<br />but advised me that they would accept the sum of $23,0~0.00. I recommend that this offer from the Telephone
<br />Company ~o sell the building [o the City for the sum of $23,000.00 be accepted and that an appropriation in the
<br />sum of $g3,000.00 from the sale of the Y~rket Building be placed on its first reading."
<br /> Motion of lit. Bitisoly to place :an appropriation of $23,000.00 for said purpose
<br />on first reading, was adopted.
<br /> 54-49. "I submit the attached letter and recommend that the Coiuacit approve the purchase
<br />of the Wagner property around the watershed owned by the Portsmouth Water Department, for the sum of $7,350.00.
<br />There are sufficient funds in the budget for the purchase of land to pay for this property and no appropriation
<br />is requested."
