<br /> 56-191 - "In connection with the acquisition of the Carver Homes Properzy for playground
<br />purposes, options were taken in the name of the City from Mrs. Julia A Codd for the purchase of six lots:
<br />numbered 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10:, on the plat of the 1.0. Ivey Estate, for Twelve Hundred Dollars, and from the Receive:
<br />of the Business Properties Corporation for the purchase of four lots, numbered 1, 2, 3 and 4 for Six Hundred Dol
<br />lars, making an average prics per lot of One Hundred and Eighty Dollars.
<br />
<br /> The Beazley Foundation, Inc. has greater need for the above ten lots than the
<br />City in order to carry out the programs which are contemplated, and the Beazley Foundation, Inc. has several
<br />lots which the City needs and which were purchased fromM_rs. Mary L. Silvester for Two Hundred)and Fifty Dollars
<br />each.
<br />
<br /> The Beazley Foundatzon, Inc. has offered to convey ~o the City eight of the
<br />lots purchased by it from Mrs. Silves~er if the City will permit the conveyance of the t~n lots To he purchased
<br />from M~rs. Codd, and the Receiver of the Business Properties Corporation direct to the Beazley Foundation, Inc.

<br /> . 56-192 - "I submit a report from the firm of Hayes~ Seay, Mattern and Mattern, on the
<br />structural investigation of the Court House Building. I will make a recommendation concerning this matter at a
<br />later date."

<br /> 56-193 - "Since the last day of June falls on Saturday, and this being the last day to
<br />pay Real Estate Taxes without penalty, I recommend that the City Collector be authorized and directed To accept
<br />payment of such taxes without penalty through Monday, July 2nd, as his office will be closed on Saturday."

<br /> Motion of Mr. Sturtevan~ to concur in the recommendation of the City Manager was
