These resolutions are necessary with reference to the widening of Elm Avenue On motion of Mr. Weiseman, the iollowing resolutions were adopted, without dissenting ye 1. "Be it Resolved by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that it is neces- sary for the City to acquire the fee .simple title in mud to the following described tract of land, together with temporary construction and demolition easements in and to adjoining land, for use tn the widening and mmprovement of Elm Avenue, Project 001Y-124-101, the record title to said property be~fig fin the n&meE of Albert L. Tweed and ~illiamM. Holbrook; Eec Taking (Parcel 002) Beginning at a point which is the southeasterly intersection of King Street and Elm avenue; thence easterly along the southern property line of King Street for a distance of twenty-nine (29) feet to a point; thence southwesterly for a distance of nineteen and eighty hundredths (19.80) feet to a point; thence southerly along a line which is parallel to and fifteen (15) feet distant from the easterly property line of Elm Avenue, for a distance of ninety-nine (99) feet mo a point; thence westerly along the property line be - tween lots l0 and 36 for a distance of fifteen (15) feet to a point; thence northerly along the eastern property line of Elm Avenue for a distance of one hundred thirteen (113) feet ~o the point of beginning.
