Motion of Mr. Barnes co approve the recommendation of the City Manager was adopted, <br />withou~ dissenting vote. <br /> <br /> 62-130 - "I reco~nend that I be authorized to advertise for sale City-owned land in <br />Pinners Point adjacenL ~o the Portsmouth Industrial Foundation property. The property Lo be sold will be sub- <br />ject to retention of utility and drainage easements deemed necessary. It is the desire of the Porfsmouth In- <br />dustrial Foundation to expand their present property in order that an industry can be located on this site. <br />This has been approved by the Planning Commission." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Dillon to concur in the recommendation of the City Manager was adopted, <br />without dissenting vote. <br /> <br /> 62-131 - "I submit the attached ordinance and recommend that it be placed on first <br />reading. This closes Jackson Avenue between Southern Avenue and Seaboard Avenue, Carolina Avenue from the rear <br />lot line of Hill Avenue properties to Portsmouth Industrial Foundation industrial park and that portion of <br />Southern Avenue to the wesL right of way line of Jackson Avenue. <br />These closings are requested in conne6tion with the sale of City property <br />which is to be used for industrial development.
