<br />OF THE CITY OF.PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1961, RELATING TO TATTOOING AND STANDARDS
<br />FOR OPERATIONS AND ~ltINTENANCE OF tATTOO ESTABLISBMEATS."

<br /> 62-204 - "I submit the attached ordinance and recommend it.be placed on first reading.
<br />This amends the Portsmouth City Code of 1961 by adding to Section 19-69.1 making tattooing and tattooing
<br />establishments unlawful.
<br /> This has been recommended by Dr S. A. Graham, Jr., Director of Public Health and
<br />the Navy is in favor of the elimination of these establishments.
<br /> The City of Norfolk outlawed this practice several years ago. I have been
<br />advised that there are ao~tLoo establishments operating in the City of Portsmouth at this time.

<br />for the Water Department at Godwin Street. This building is To be used for the ssorage of materials necessary
<br />for the installation of service lines.
