The old <br />Highland Siltmore School was being used as a voting place, but with the construction of the new school, this <br />building is no longer in use; Therefore it is necessary to change the voting place to the new Highland Biltmore <br />School. <br /> This has been~requ~sted by the Electoral Board. <br /> <br />On motion of Mr Barnes the following ordinance was approved on first reading: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 37-46 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA, 1961, TO CHANGE THE VOTING PLACE FOR PRECINCT NO. TWO IN STUART <br />WARD TO THE NEW HIGHLAND BILTMORE SCHOOL. <br /> <br /> 62-232 - "I submit the attached ordinances and recommend tha~ they be placed on first <br />reading: <br /> These amend various sections of the Portsmouth City Code of 196~ to correct <br />typographical errors and the omissions when the Code was recently printed. <br /> These corrections are as follows: <br /> 1. On the ordinance to amend Section 26-37, ~n paragraph a, line ll the words, <br /> 'the amount of his accumulated contributions' have been omitted. <br /> 2. In the ordinance to amend Section 29-15 pertaining to the payment of water <br />and sewer bills, in the first paragraph after the section designation, online 3, the words should read 'Water <br />Department' rather than "City Treasurer' In the contract form where the word consumer is used, it should read <br />owner. <br /> 3. In the ordinance to amend Section 31-44 pertaining To building set back lines, <br />under item 5, Elmhurst Lane, lhe description on this s~reet was incorrect.
