recent Bond sale." <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE-TO APPROPRIATE $15,000.00 FROM THE GENERAL CAPITAL <br /> [MPROVEMd~NT FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PURCHASING PARKING~gTERS AND <br /> OFFICE EQUIPMENT." <br /> <br /> 63-86 - "I submit the attached Or~inance and recommend that it be placed on first reading. <br /> This appropriates funds for the construction of the Waterfront Drive. <br /> The Council has awarded, the contract and these funds were provided i~ the <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Leery, the fo.llo~ing ordinance was approved on first reading: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $590,000.00 FROM THE GENERAL CAPITAL <br /> I]~PROVE~ENT FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING A WATERFRONT DRIVE." <br /> <br /> 63-87 - "I submit, the attached. Ordinance. and recommend that-it be placed on first reading. <br /> This appropriates $M75,000.00 for the construction.of s water storage taitk at <br />Victory Boulevard and Airline Boulevard. <br /> This is a part of the water improvement program and funds were provided in the <br />recent Bond sale." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Atkinson, the following ordinance was approved on~firs~ reading: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $275,000.00 FROM THE WATER FUND FOR TILE PURPOSE <br /> OF CONSTRUCTING A WATER STORAGE TANK." - <br /> <br /> 63-88 - "I submit the attached resolution and recommend its adoption. This ~bandons a <br />sewer easement:of the City of Portsmouth between Rapidaa Street ~and Victory Boulevard. This easement will be <br />relocated along Victory Boulevard to Greenwood Drive. This will-be an exchange of easements and will i~votve <br />no expense to the City of Portsmouth." <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Dillon, the~following resolution was adopted, without dissenting vote: <br /> <br /> "Resolved: That whereas the City of Portsmouth has acquired an easement for a right of <br />:way for a sanitary sewer line running across property of George T. McLean. company, Inc. from the Eastern side of <br />Rspidsn Street to the western side of Victory Blvd. along a line representing the northern right of way line of <br />Hancock Avenue, if extended from said Rspidan Street through to Victory Boulevard; and <br /> Whereas, it is the desire of the said propert~ owner To relocate said easement from its <br /> present course to a course running along Victory Blvd. in a southeasterly direction go Greenwood Drive; and <br /> Whereas, it.isl~the desire of th~ said prope~y owner to grant ~o the City of'Portsmouth a <br />new easement along the above described course i~n exchange for t~he release by the City of Portsmouth of e~isting <br />easement afore mentioned <br /> Be it resolved, therefore, that the proper officials of the City of Portsmouth shall enter <br /> into a deed of easement exchsnge end release to effect the relesse oft he existing easement afore me~tiOneki :and the <br /> substitution therefore of a new easement along Victory Blvd. as afore described." <br /> <br />and read: <br /> <br />and ~ead:~ <br /> <br />and read: <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />63-72 - The following ordinance approved on first reading at last meeting, was taken up <br /> UZONING AMENDNLENT ORDINANCE Z 63-8. <br /> <br />On motion of Mr. Dillon, the ordinance was adopted and by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes:. ~Barnes, Atkinson, Dillon, tastes, L~ery. <br />Nsys: None. <br /> <br />63-72 - The followmng ordinance, approved on first reading at last meeting, was taken up <br /> <br /> "AN ORDI~ANOE TO .CLOSE THAT CERTAIN TEN FOOT PLANTING.
